Aqua Pennsylvania Inc. Fined for Electrical Safety Practices

HAVERFORD, PENNSYLVANIA – The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission proposed Thursday that Aqua Pennsylvania Inc., Bryn Mawr, pay $15,000 in penalties and improve its electrical safety practices to settle a complaint about an April electrical explosion that injured three employees. The proposal stems from an accident in Haverford when Aqua employees struck electrical equipment during an excavation. One of the three injured employees suffered burns from the explosion. The public has 20 days to comment on the proposal.
