2 Palestinian Workers Killed in Electrical Accident in Tunnel

GAZA – Two Palestinian workers died on Monday evening due to an accident inside a tunnel at the southern Gaza borders with Egypt.

ImageMousa Soliman, 20 years old, and Mohamed Zorob, 18 years old, arrived dead at the local border city Rafah hospital. Doctors said both died after being electrocuted inside the tunnel they used to work in.

Local sources announced with the two killed on Monday the number of workers killed due to tunnel accidents now reached 160 workers.

Since Israel started its siege on Gaza, back in 2007, the underground tunnels at the Gaza-Egypt borders became the sources of the much needed supplies to the 1.5 million Palestinians living in the coastal enclave.
