WEST BAY, GRAND CAYMAN – Police say there appears to be no suspicious activity related to the case of a man who died while helping set up West Bay’s Heritage Day. Officials are still looking into the details of the man’s death.

The 33-year-old man was found laying in a complex, when emergency officials arrived shortly before 10:00 PM Tuesday night. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and police say he appears to have been electrocuted.

Police, along with other government and CUC officials were on hand Wednesday morning to inpsect the site. Planning Department officials say they are still trying to determine why the electrocution took place, and whether proper safety regulations were followed.

While CUC officials were on the scene, they say the man was not working for CUC. All agencies involved say they are continuing their investigations.
