IL: Home Depot fined $69,000 by OSHA; Electrical Panel Problems

Chicago, IL: The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has proposed a fine of more than $69,000 against Home Depot for exposing workers to electrical hazards at its store on North Avenue in Chicago.

A complaint of blocked electrical panels made in July prompted the agency’s investigation. It’s not the first time the chain has been cited for such matters, with violations reported in 2009 and 2010.
